TQM Guru Report (140 pts)
This assignment is designed to reflect upon and demonstrate the course outcome:
Understand the history, vocabulary and concepts of total quality management and continuous improvement.
Each student will select a theorist in the TQM movement and write a short report on the theorist’s concept, principle, or methodology. Prior approval of the topic from the instructor is required. First-come, first-serve in regards to topics.
Notes:
You may NOT use Wikipedia or any other web-based reference encyclopedia. If you do, your grade will immediately reflect a minimum of half a letter OR a full letter grade lower, depending on how often the source is used.
You must use citations within your report. Use quotation marks for direct quotations.
You may not use ChatGPT or any other software application or artificial intelligence platform to complete this assignment.
The report should be in the following format: Use these four topics as section headers in your paper.
Reference (minimum 4) citations and APA style formatting are required.

Application of the theory/idea
1 paragraph explanation of how the theory or theories is used in industry or the workplace
Historical context the theory was written
1 paragraph: What timeframe did this guru live and/or work? What was happening in the world during this time that might have influenced the theorist?
Critique of the theory/idea
1-2 paragraph: What is your personal critique of the theory/idea? Is it still viable in today’s workplace?
