Title: The Dangers of Police Work and the Need for Proper Training in Dealing with the Mentally Ill

(see chapter 21), do you think police work is dangerous?  What are the physical hazards?  And, how did the authors measure the problem of danger for police officer?  Do you think the study made sense or had major limitations>
see chapter 24), do you think that the police are sufficiently trained to deal with the mentally ill?  If not, who would be in a better position to help?  Do our policies relating to police interactiosn with the mentally ill work?
