3. Aaron the Moor is a character so purely villainous that he verges on the ridiculous. Yet there is something in his self-confidence, scheming, and humour that attracts the audience. Discuss Aaron’s character. Is Aaron a purely evil character, or is his status more complicated? Can you point to any motivating factors that might explain his actions and language? On the whole, is Aaron a sympathetic figure? Why?
