This assignment helps you prepare for Letter submissions. After having read the assigned P & R-11 AND Unger & Dottolo (2016), you will:
Identify and briefly describe an important focus (idea, person, contextual factor, etc.) present in Unger & Dottolo (2016) AND relevant to but missing/under-represented in P&R-11.
Using one of the sources identified on the Course Resource Page (“Primary Sources” section will be especially useful), find a primary source artifact that represents/illustrating this focus (e.g., personal image, document, newspaper article, object, etc.). This artifact is time-specific (that is, it is of something existing during the period covered) and is directly & specifically connected to the scholarship of the secondary source. Identify the artifact (what it is, and when), include an image, and briefly describe how this artifact illustrates your chosen focus.
If you can’t find what you are looking for using the sources provided on the Course Resource page, you may look elsewhere. HOWEVER, on your reference page (see below), you will need to describe where and how you searched the Course Resources options. You will do so in a bullet point annotation underneath the reference for your artifact.
Complete a reference page for your found artifact and any other sources cited (hint: this SHOULD include the secondary source and P & R!).
Be prepared to explain and discuss your choices and reasons in class
