“The Power of Personal Narrative: Exploring Mental Health Diagnoses Through Memoirs”

Assignment Description: One way of better understanding the nature of mental health diagnoses is
to read a first-person account of an individual’s experience living with a
diagnosis. You will find a list of such memoirs on page 7. Your assignment is
to select a memoir (if you have a selection that is not on the list please
check with the instructor to get an approval) and write an 8-10-page (double
spaced) paper related to that memoir.
