“The Impact of Colonialism on Mexican Identity in Jaime Cortez’s ‘Gordo’”

Using the book “Gordo” by Jaime Cortez.  This essay tests your ability to write a well-organized and fully developed argument under constraints. Your paper must be between 1250-1750 words. Your paper is an argumentative/persuasive essay. You will need to use direct quotes as support, and you must bring in at least one piece of outside research, but you cannot use more than three pieces.  Focus on colonialism’s impact on Mexican people. To support your argument, you must use at least four readings from Gordo and at least one piece of outside research.
