“The Changing Purposes of Public Schools: A Historical Analysis and Current Debate”

curriculum/purpose paper:
EITHER What Gets Taught? What Should Get Taught? OR What Is the Purpose of Public Schools? How Has the Purpose Changed Over Time?  Analyze how the purposes of schools have changed over time and the current debate about purpose;

include at least 3 in quote citations from the primary source, which is The School in the United States. 
make sure the citations and in quote citations are cited in APA format
