Watch the assigned clip of the scene from Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese, 1976) to identify and describe the most important cinematic elements in each shot, including the transitions between them. 
It is necessary to consider the following cinematic elements for your shot-by-shot description:

Guidelines
Label and number each shot in upper-case letters at the beginning of each description, e.g. “SHOT 4”, with the transition written in upper-case letters at the end, e.g. “CUT”.
Your descriptions do not need to refer to the plot of the film, however you will need to refer to the action or dialogue of the character(s) in each shot.
Your description of each shot should be written in the present tense.
You do not need to write in complete sentences, although any short-hand notation needs to be precise and should employ terminology introduced in the class and defined in the glossary.
Refer to a character’s name instead of an actor’s name.
You may note if any shot is repeated by stating it in the description, e.g. “Same as SHOT 1″ – but since no shot is exactly the same you will need to add further description. 
Example
SHOT 4: Deep focus high-angle long shot of taxi; decentered framing; reestablishing shot of street. “St. Regis” hotel sign above; sidewalk below is clean; low-key lighting. Two porters stand under hotel sign; Betsy sits in backseat of taxi; Travis enters from offscreen right, walking to driver’s side and getting into taxi; Diegetic simultaneous onscreen sounds of Travis opening door, getting inside and closing door. CUT.
