write a 4-5 page formal analysis to explain how these filmmakers are representing “contested territories”, (borders, checkpoints, etc) through aesthetics and/or production practices.
In your analysis, I encourage you to compare and contrast different stylistic choices and/or production practices that are used by these filmmakers to represent the sociopolitical issues that you have chosen to focus on as well as how these sociopolitical issues are relevant to each respective country/region/era, etc. In doing so, you may analyze how each director represents the same/similar contested territories (including any relevant sociopolitical issues) using different aesthetics and/or production practices.
