Debate: Supporting or Against Elian Gonzalez’s Stay in the United States: A Community’s Perspective and Impact on Public Safety Agencies

.Debate:  After reading about Elian Gonzalez, select one of the two positions and present a strong argument for your position:  
Position #1:  Argue the community’s position of supporting the wishes of Elian’s relatives in Miami for having Elian stay in the United States.  
Position #2:  Argue against the community’s position of supporting the wishes of Elian’s relatives in Miami for having Elian stay in the United States. 
Consider legality issues, ethics, social factors, and community emotions.   Also include how community relations between the public safety agencies and the community could have been strengthened in light of the situation.  Provide at least 3 references (APA format) to support your position.
Your essay must be at least 500 words and written in complete sentences with no grammatical errors.  You must research the issue and provide support for your position from other sources such as textbooks, articles, journals, newspapers, etc. You must include 3 references in APA format in the body of your paper supporting your perspective.  The references need to be presented in APA format both within the body of the essay and in the reference list. 3. Essay presentation – is at least 500 words, grammatically correct, complete sentences, includes reference list with at least 3 references, and presented in APA format as a Word attachment.
