Part 1: Company Research
Select a multinational company to research for this assignment. It is preferred that this company is big and global but you may select a SME also.
Post your selected company on the discussion topic, “Paper 1 – Company Selection.” Note: Only one student may research a given company. Therefore, read the postings by your fellow students and if the company you chose has already been selected, research and choose another company. This information needs to be posted by the end of Module 1.
Research the company’s strategy, structure, vision, values, culture, top management style, and goals.
Write a 2- to 3-page paper that discusses the company.
Part 2: IHRM Policies
Research the IHRM policies and practices of the company that you selected. In some cases you may need to make some assumptions such as: “What are the HRM policies and practices of our MNE/SME?” If you cannot find the answer to this question, ask yourself the following question: “What are the exemplary HRM policies and practices of a firm in this industry?”
Write a 2- to 3-page paper that discusses the company’s International HRM policies and practices or the exemplary policies and practices that they should implement.
Part 3: Country Research
Research the home country of your selected company. Include culture, economy, communication practices, transportation, and business practices.
Write a 2- to 3-page paper that discusses the country. Also, include a discussion on how the country’s practices may impact MNEs/SMEs.
Combine all three parts of the paper so that it synthesizes your research and includes the items listed. Use headers in your paper. Include at least five references. Format the paper according to the Academic Paper GuidelinesPreview the document.
